Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements for the Class of 2023 and beyond

The requirements for graduation from high school include earning twenty units of credit in grades nine through twelve as identified below.  No student, however, shall be required to remain in school for any specific number of semesters or other terms if the student completes the required curriculum according to the early graduation policy.

Graduation classes 2024 and older, who complete 2 seasons of athletics, marching band or cheerleading may trade Physical Education for another 0.5 credit course.

 

All students must receive instruction in economics and financial literacy during Grades 9-12, which is included in the Social Studies curriculum and taught implicitly in the American Government courses.  Students must also complete at least 2 semesters of fine arts, taken any time, in Grades 9-12. Students following a career-technical pathway, are exempted from the fine arts requirement. In addition to the above credit requirements, all other State requirements for graduation must be met, including state mandated testing.

 

*Beginning with the Class of 2026, students will need a total of 22 credits. They also need 0.5 credits of Financial Literacy.
