Students who are planning on going to college are encouraged to take the ACT at least once, if not twice, before applying to college. It is common for college-bound students to take the ACT once at the end of their Junior year and again in the Fall of their Senior year to try to improve their score. Students on free/reduced lunch can request up to two ACT fee-waivers between Junior and Senior years. Stop in the Counseling Office to request an ACT fee-waiver.

 

All Sophomores (10/29) and Juniors (2/25) will take the ACT at school, free of charge. One of the paths to graduation considers ACT scores. This assessment will NOT include the optional writing assessment. More information will be available as the date approaches.

Depending on college requirements, the ACT can be a way to qualify for College Credit Plus classes.
